Original Sin Breaks Through With Graded Stakes Victory in the Blame Stakes

Original Sin secured the first graded stakes victory of his career with a determined performance in the Blame Stakes at Churchill Downs for wonderful supporters Calumet Farm.

The laid back son of Curlin showed all the signs he was ready for a big effort heading into the race and delivered a professional performance under Tyler Gaffalione.

Breaking much sharper than he had in his previous starts, Original Sin immediately put himself into a perfect position just behind the leader and travelled strongly and stalked the pace throughout the race.

Approaching the three-eighths pole, Original Sin moved to the front and from there never looked like giving in. Showing tremendous toughness and determination, he battled gamely all the way down the stretch to hold on for a deserved half-length victory.

It was a performance that highlighted the continued progression of the talented colt, who has shown he is very much on an upward trajectory. Improving with each start, Original Sin continues to develop into an exciting horse for the future.

Congratulations to Calumet Farm on this well-earned graded stakes success.
