Brendan Walsh Racing had two winners in as many states today with Indigo Stunner breaking her maiden at Indiana and San Siro returning to the dirt for a facile victory in Allowance company at Churchill Downs.

Indigo Stunner (Authentic x Blue Gallina) was the team’s first winner of the day at Horseshoe Indianapolis. The two-year-old filly ran a good third at Kentucky Downs first up and took plenty away from that effort to score today at Indiana. Indigo Stunner went off the heavy favorite and traveled like the winner the entire trip. She got a nice stalking position under jockey Marcelino Pedroza Jr and took command in the straight under a hand ride to cross finish a one and a half length victor. Congratulations to winning owners Harrell Ventures, LLC and Starlight Racing and all other parties connected with this filly.

San Siro (Classic Empire x Catenaria) was a convincing winner at Churchill Downs under the lights. The gelding returned to the dirt for this 10 furlong contest and relished the going in his second start this campaign. He relaxed into a lovely rhythm behind a steady pace under jockey Edgar Morales through the first three-quarters of a mile. Around the far turn, the gelding made a sweeping move on the outside to take the lead as the field turned for home. San Siro continued to quicken down the straight to win the lucrative Allowance event by over two lengths. Congratulations to this large group of owners – this versatile gelding has plenty of promise for the future.
