Temple City Taboo (Temple City x Lisa Jean) was a consummate professional in her first start at Gulfstream Park today.
The Pocket Aces owned filly began well for jockey Tyler Gaffalione to establish position a couple lengths behind the leaders. She galloped along in a nice rhythm through the middle stages of running in this Maiden Claiming event. As the leaders began to quicken around the far turn, Temple City Taboo followed suit and let down to find the finish when the field straightened for home. Under steady urging from Tyler, the filly took the lead with less than a furlong to run and crossed the finish a three-quarter length winner.
