Verbal (Flintshire (GB) x Endless Chat) ran home a decisive winner in his second start this preparation.
The six-year-old gelding was not disgraced in his first start after a layoff and benefitted from the added race fitness in this one mile event. Verbal broke well and was quickly into stride to take the lead. He bowled along comfortably through even fractions for jockey Gerardo Corrales; traveling like the winner every step of the way. As Verbal led the field around the turn and into the straight, he was asked to find the finish and willingly obliged. The gelding made easy work of this Claiming $50,000 field to cross the finish a two and a quarter length victor.
