Cha Cha Chukka (Klimt x Queen of Silence) broke her Maiden over One Mile on Monday at Horsehoe Indianapolis. The three-year-old filly has made three starts for us this year and has improved each time out.
The filly broke well but was slow into stride and settled towards the back of the field through the early stages of running. Cha Cha Chukka began to advance down the backstretch and around the far turn before being boxed as the field quickened to the finish. Jockey Evin Roman managed to create some running room for the filly late in the stretch and she exploded to win by a half length at the wire.
