Curlin’s Gesture (Curlin x Sky Gesture), won a $100,000 Maiden Claiming race at Churchill Downs on May 11th, 2024 in his second career start.
The colt returned from a 10 month layoff to dominate a big field of eleven foes by four lengths. He broke sharply and settled just off the pace in third position. Curlin’s Gesture traveled like the winner every step of the way, took command of the field at the top of the stretch and never looked back to win by four lengths under a hand ride from jockey Tyler Gaffalione.
