East Avenue Wins Grade 1 Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity

East Avenue couldn’t have been more impressive in his Grade One debut at Keeneland. The two-year-old son of Medaglia d’Oro put in an emphatic performance win the Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity for Brendan Walsh Racing, Owner/Breeder Godolphin and jockey Tyler Gaffalione.

East Avenue (Medaglia d’Oro x Dance Music) was dubbed a TDN Rising Star on debut at Ellis Park and easily stepped up to Grade One competition this afternoon. He broke alertly and took the lead going into the first turn of the one and one-sixteenth mile event. The colt settled into a beautiful rhythm through the backside and into the far turn, where Tyler began to ask for him to quicken. East Avenue was geared down towards the wire to finish over five lengths in front.

We could not be more excited to have this exceptional colt in our stable. He has all the talent in the world and the future is very bright for him.

Congratulations and thank you to Godolphin, Tyler Gaffalione and the team at Brendan Walsh Racing.
