Fancy (Justify x Lacadena) broke her maiden at Churchill Downs on May 3rd 2024.
The filly showcased good tactical speed as she stalked the pace early then made a decisive run along the rail to take command of the race down the straight. She scored by 2 1/4 lengths under a hand ride by jockey Tyler Gaffalione.
Fancy has always showed talent in her morning work but faced some bad luck in her runs last year. We couldn’t be more pleased to get a victory for owner Heider Family Stables in this filly’s four-year-old debut!
