Majestic Drive (Quality Road x Rare Day (IRE)) relished a change in class and surface to win by daylight in a Maiden Claiming race at Gulfstream Park.
The three-year-old filly began well and tracked a steady pace through most of the running. Under jockey Irad Ortiz Jr, Majestic Drive began to set her sights on the leader with about three furlongs left to run. The filly was within striking distance of the leader as the field turned for home and she quickly put that opponent away as she let down to find the finish. Majestic Drive continued to quicken to the finish and won by four lengths on the wire.
