Normanjito (FR) (Zelzal (FR) x Belle Ambre (GB)) returned to the Winner’s Circle at Gulfstream Park today. The four-year-old filly shared the dead heat victory with Cha Cha Chukka in a Claiming event at Gulfstream Park.
Normanjito (FR), a winner in in France at two, had run competitively prior to this start and finally got the job done in this one and one sixteenth mile affair. The filly broke well from an inside draw and moved forward to lead the field through the first turn. She traveled in a nice rhythm for jockey Tyler Gaffalione through the middle stages of running. Normanjito (FR) began to pick it up around the final turn and put a couple lengths on the field with one furlong left to run. She managed to hold on to dead heat for the victory with an outside opponent.
