Proctor Street (Street Sense x Proctor’s Ledge) made light work of her opponents at Saratoga this afternoon. This was the filly’s second start this year after a good second place finish at Churchill Downs in June.
A daughter of Walsh trainee and multiple Graded Stakes winner Proctor’s Ledge, this progressive filly has strengthened and matured since her three-year-old campaign. Proctor Street began the one and one sixteenth mile race alertly but settled into a good rhythm as the field cornered the first turn. She tracked the field in relaxed fashion under jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr through the backstretch and far turn. Proctor Street tailed the heavy favorite as the field turned for home and upon straightening unleashed an impressive turn of foot to circle the field. The filly made light work of her overmatched opponents to win by a convincing two lengths.
We couldn’t be happier for longtime owner Patricia Moseley and we look forward to seeing what this filly can achieve moving forward. Congratulations to all involved.
