Queen Regent (GB) (Roaring Lion x Common Knowledge (GB)) relished the 1 mile 5/16th course at Kentucky Downs and scored a half length victory in her first start over USA turf.
The four-year-old daughter of Roaring Lion was a consummate professional throughout the marathon event. She broke nicely and settled into position in mid pack through most of the running. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione tipped the filly out around the final turn and began to advance towards the leader at the top of the straight. Queen Regent (GB) continued to quicken through the final sixteenth to finish the event a half length victor.
