It was a two-winner Saturday for the team at Brendan Walsh Racing.
Reckoning Force (Air Force Blue x Alasema) scored in an Allowance at Saratoga on Saturday August 17th 2024. The gelding has done very well since his second place finish at Churchill Downs in June and ran accordingly today.
The four-year old gelding rated nicely behind the leader through most of the 1 mile 3/16th contest. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione asked Reckoning Force to pick it up at the 5/16ths pole and the gelding obliged and took command of the race. The gelding raced gamely down the stretch to prevail by a half length.

Earlier in the day, Curlin’s Gesture (Curlin x Sky Gesture) secured a victory in a $50,000 Claiming race at Ellis Park. The four-year-old colt overcame a troubled start and wide trip in the 6th on Saturday. Clearly the best horse in the race, Curlin’s Gesture wore down his oppenents in the deep stretch to prevail by a neck under a tactful ride by jockey Luan Machado. Congratulations to winning owner Brookdale Racing and good luck to this horse’s new connections!
