Margie’s Intention (Honor A.P. x Playful Dancer) prevailed by half a length over stablemate Warrior’s Justice (Justify x Warrior Maid) for a Brendan Walsh Racing 1-2 in this Louisiana bred Allowance.
The three-year-old filly was an eye-catching Maiden Special Weight winner in her most recent start and followed that up with a gritty performance here. Ridden by jockey Declan Cannon, the filly began well from the gate and found her position in third position. She tracked the two leaders behind a steady pace through the middle stages of running in this one mile race. Declan began to ask the filly to quicken with just under three furlongs left to run, but there was plenty to do as stablemate Warrior’s Justice had a two length advantage. The fillies dueled through the final furlong with Margie’s Intention the victor at the wire. We are pleased with this result as both fillies ran huge. Congratulations to all involved.
